Welcome to the mackinaw Township recreation site

The Mackinaw Township Recreation program serves all age groups in the community by providing year-round activities for children through baseball, softball, fishing, soccer, volleyball and basketball. Most activities encompass children from first grade through eighth grade.

All activities include opportunities for parents to volunteer and enjoy quality time with their children. The children’s activities have been very successful, and Mackinaw Township Recreation has a high level of participation. This is one of the best year-round programs to be found among communities in the area.

The Recreation Program also manages the Brock Lake Facility,
located off Route 9, west of the Village of Mackinaw. The public can fish year round, or enjoy a picnic in a pavilion. Mackinaw Township Recreation Program stocks the ponds at the Brock Lake Facility under the advisement of Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Brock Lake offers a variety of pan fish Blue Gill, Hybrid Sunfish and Redear along with Albino Channel Catfish and Channel Catfish.

The Mackinaw Township Recreation Program is run by Mackinaw Township and any concerns or complaints should be brought to the attention of the Mackinaw Township Recreation Board Chairman. Thank you.
